A living record of South African art, since 1965.
The Sanlam Art Collection came into being on 9 March 1965 when the Sanlam Board approved the acquisition of twelve paintings by well-known artists. Six decades later, it has grown into one of the country's most significant corporate collections.
The collection lives in Sanlam offices, in touring exhibitions, and here — an open record of the artists and works that have shaped its story.
